Assessments/Tryouts 2024

2024 Talons U9-U12 Development Assessments and U13 to U18 Competitive Tryouts --

Assessments and tryouts for U9 to U16 teams will take place at the Oz Dome, 221 Westbrook Rd, Ottawa.  The U17 Boys Regionals and U18 Boys tryouts will take place at the Beckwith Recreation Centre, 1319 Beckwith 9th Line, Carleton Place. Players must *fully register a minimum of 48 hours in advance to attend.  Assessment/Tryout fee of $35.00 is non-refundable.

*Registration is not complete until registration fee has been received by WCSC -- payment WILL NOT be accepted at the assessment/tryout venue.

COVID-19 Restrictions:  West Carleton Soccer Club is subject to Provincial, Municipal and Ontario Soccer protocols in place at the time of the assessments/tryouts.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.   What is the time commitment for the Development and Competitive Program?

During the regular season typically, there are 1 or 2 practices per week and 1 game per week.  In addition, there will be the possibility of festivals (U9-U12) or out of town tournaments (U13+).

2.  What do I need to bring to tryouts?

For assessments and tryouts be ready to play soccer.  Standard soccer gear is required (cleats, pads, socks that cover the pads). Wear athletic apparel.  Bring water.  Returning participants are asked not to wear their Talons Uniforms to tryouts.

3.  What do I need to do before registering?
